Welcome to my website! I am Nikki Estrada, a self-taught baker passionate about creating bespoke desserts for special occasions from my home studio. I work full time as a Board Secretary and bake on weekends and a mother to two beautiful humans, my son and daughter!

The Sweet Event Cupcakes started humbly in 2012, inspired by the arrival of my first nephew. When my sister had difficulty finding local bakers, she asked if I could make desserts for her baby shower. Despite lacking baking experience and having allergies to eggs, wheat, and dairy, I initially felt apprehensive. However, I accepted the challenge and soon developed a strong interest, refining my skills as a self-taught baker.

Guests at my nephew's birthdays started requesting desserts for their own events, which gave me the idea to turn my passion into a small business. With a clear vision and determination, I began creating custom desserts for clients in the South East Suburbs and surrounding Melbourne areas. In 2015, I established The Sweet Event Cupcakes, and I have enjoyed it ever since.

I have been fortunate to work with wonderful clients, Australian brands, and events, and to support various charities. I am deeply committed to providing excellent service and delicious desserts for my clients' special occasions.

All my desserts are freshly made, handmade, and custom-designed by me.
